I'll be hopefully posting better pictures soon! I just finished this though, and I'm super excited! I don't plan on taking it off until the new year! lol.
I used Red Heart Holiday yarn, so it's glittery. The pattern was great! I had so much fun with it!!!!

Yeah, so as soon as I saw this post, I rushed over to Etsy and snagged the pattern. At first glance, it looked easy. I'm fairly experienced with crochet, so I thought, 'no problem'. Yeah, right. The pattern was perfect. But for some reason, I could not wrap my brain around the cable cross bit. Seriously. I was halfway through the second tail when the lightbulb finally clicked on, and I figured it out. So, needless to say, I had to unravel everything and start over. Yay. But in the end, it turned out alright. And I used all stash yarn, so hooray for not having to buy more! This was also my first time round with pom poms. And now I'm looking for other things I can put pom poms on. Another first: I've never crocheted anything that wasn't flat, like a scarf or an afghan. I'm really happy with it. Of course, now that I've got me a nice warm hat, the temperature's back up Tongue I'm beginning to think we're never going to get winter down here in Florida. Lame. But on to the pictures!

Thanks to AprilDraven for this awesome pattern! Once I figured out what I was doing, it was super easy!

It looks great on you. Wonderful job. You must have been crocheting up a storm. That was quick.

"This Rocks!" I love all your patterns, I recently bought your Fairy Earflap Hat pattern and "Santafied" it LOL (Santa hat with earflaps <giggle>) I can see which pattern I am going to buy next! You did an awesome job recreating Penny's hat in crochet!
