knitpurl made me this stunning delicate water color for my theme, day of the dead. it came in a beautiful upcycled envelope and I am going to learn how to make those little guys to use up the catalogs I get and dont need.  I love this one :-) Actually, I loved every single one I got.  Thank you <3

Oh, I love the picture of your little sister!  Maybe she could get into ATCs, too! lol  Right now mxer145 is hosting an ATC swap just for kids...

I saw that! Great idea! My sister is a little young but my 9 year old brother is anxiously awaiting our approval so he can get started. Smiley

My last card for December (wah!) from WideEyedLife:

It's hard to see in the picture, but it's very 3-D.  The fish in the middle is raised off the background, the seaweed is raised and the coral is painted on the aquarium "glass" which is actually plastic from a juice bottle!
Thank you!  A very cool idea that turned out really well!

Aww, thanks!

It's actually one of those ATCs that I had a love/hate relationship with.  I liked the concept, but when it was finished, it was so thick.  Over a quarter of an inch!  I so like to make ATCs that would fit perfectly into a plastic sleeve! lol

But it was fun, and I may make another sometime, because I like how it turned out.

Here's another photo that I was able to take with the sun coming in through the plastic.  It shows some of the visual effects of the light through the plastic: kind-of looks like water, especially since I used plastic that was textured.  I like that, and am trying to think of another project to use the concept for!   Cheesy

well....I don't use a sleeve, I use the photo corners on flat paper...so if you ever claim me again feel free to utilize this technique Grin
