And, speaking of goddessgarb  Roll Eyes  Here I am in my delinquency, posting a photo of a terrific ATC from her, this one on the topic of Area 51.  Funnily enough, my mother told me a marginally related story recently about how she served in the Navy WAVES during World War Two and was stationed somewhere around the Great Lakes when she first joined up.  She said that the Air Force boys [her words] would come up from Area 51 on weekends and do their best to impress all the girls with their stories about secret this and secret that.   Cheesy

and an explanation on the back...

Last week this card went to my son for his eighteenth birthday, along with Cityscape by sabrinalouisemiller, World Travel by calluna, and the second card in this post, World Travel Stereoscope by WideEyedLife.

He loved them all!  Now we're working on a way to display them.  Some are multi-dimensional so a traditional frame doesn't work too well, but he has a very analytical engineering-friendly sort of mind and I expect he'll come up with something that's just right.  Thank you all!

I'm so glad he liked it!  Maybe for mine, if you wanted to preserve the explanation on the back, a mat alone so you could see both sides if you flipped it around.  Oh, and thanks for covering my private info.  Smiley

I got a cool card from susanab today for the categories of Things You Love..

BUBBLE GUM!  Does anyone know anyone who doesn't like double bubble?  Remember a million years ago, when those little pink blocks would end up being hard as a rock?  I lost a tooth once in a wad of double bubble heheheh

and now we can all learn something.....

Thanks for the bubbles Walter!  And thanks for the great nostalgic card Susi (sorry couldn't resist Grin)
And that was my last card for this round, both comming and going

To all past swap partners....If something I made you fell apart in some way, it would be helpful to me if you PMed me and told me about it.  Sometimes, I try new things, and if they fail, it helps me to kno

ThreadOrYarn asked me to post pictures of the cards I sent her since she doesn't know when she'll be able to... however I seem to only have a picture of one of them. I'm not sure how that happened but I'll post my Hawaii one now and the crochet one will have to wait.

here's the crochet card you sent me. The middle flower isn't quite as shiny as the camera thinks  Cheesy

And a few inchies Smiley

Thank you!!  Kiss

Thanks for posting pictures... I really don't know how I missed that one! Oh, and I was cleaning my room today and found another flower I had made for the card... I didn't even realize I made 4. Oh well, it probably would have been too crowded anyway.

Oh, and the inchies are all made from pics I took in Oahu when I went... the little bird is a baby peacock!

I received my lovely gay pride card from calluna about a week ago, and I got my Father Ted quote card and My Favorite Color card from mxr145 yesterday, and they are all great.  I've been sick for several days, and kind of off and on since the first of the new year actually, so I am behind, but I'm very grateful for the ATCs.  Thank you.  Here are the pictures:

calluna's gay pride card, "Out On The Table":

(It incorporates many other faves of mine, rainbows, spirals, and glitter for starters...Smiley)

mxr145's 2 cards, "Father Ted Quote" and "Favorite Color":

(Now I want to know what episode that one's from!)

(Hmmm...I'm guessing she likes all of them. Smiley)
