Happy birthday to all of the December babies! I'm Joanna and I will be 31 on Dec. 24th.
About Me: I'm 30 (gulp) and I'm in now living in NJ (double gulp). I'm currently working as a nanny, baking up a storm, and reading lots of books. Oh yeah, and I’m totally, finally, oh-my-goodness pregnant
It’s a boy and he is due in March! No more fighting off the baby fever! I love chocolate, the ocean and the beach, books, live music, thrifting, vintage, shiny things, and soft things. I love tights and knee socks. I collect recipe cards, old handkerchiefs, vintage turquoise glassware, tea cups, ephemera, vintage scarves, cookbooks, and old books. There is a lot more info in my blog (see the link in my signature!) I love many styles,
but nothing country or overly cutesy.
Please check out my wist for ideas of styles and fabrics that I like.
Wishes:
Crafted stuff:
For Baby:
- Newborn cloth diapers, fitted pocket style, snap or Velcro close, with or without inserts to fit (there are lots of patterns and tutorials here on craftster!)
- A boy baby quilt with fabric like Amy Butler, Michael Miller, Anna Maria Horner, Freshcut, etc. No need for real designer labels, it’s just an idea of styles I like.
- A baby quilt or blanket in shades of white and cream
- A baby blanket in this style, but not these colors:
http://www.dana-made-it.com/2010/11/lucys-baby-blanket.html
- A ring sling:
http://www.etsy.com/listing/53926002/prestige-ring-sling-baby-carrier
- A scrabble tile square pillow with the letter J on it
Not for Baby
- Knee socks in solid neutral or jewel tones, I’d love a warm kit pair
-Altered tees like the following, but to fit a growing belly:
http://nikkishell.typepad.com/.a/6a00d8341bfaf553ef0133efaa6dc7970b-pi
or
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=106867.msg1016302#msg1016302
or this:http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=10284568 or
http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/t_shirt_recon
(I have tons more on my wist for inspiration!)
- Maternity tops (small/medium)
- Cloth napkins in Xmas colors, but nothing country or cutesy. I’ve added some holiday fabrics to my wist and there are lots of Xmas items there for ideas of styles I like. I adore the new Michael Miller Xmas fabrics!
- A glittery tree skirt in red and white, our tree is glitzy!
Supplies:
I'm a sucker for packages full of supplies
- A6 flat cards, fold cards, envelopes in any colors for my Gocco. Smooth paper preferred over textured. It takes a print better! Here’s a size reference:
http://www.paper-source.com/cgi-bin/paper/envelopes/A6.html
- Shipping tags, which are super cheap at office supply stores!
- Your favorite strong thread for machine sewing in any colors
- Thicker metallic thread in gold or silver
- Felt in shades of white, red, green, powder blue, and aqua. Larger pieces (like what you buy by the yard) are great, but I can still use the poly squares you find at most craft stores.
BIG WISH
: Michael Moore, Amy Butler, Anna Maria Horner, or Freshcut fabric, even your scraps are fine! Also any other pretty printed fabrics in these styles, but not necessarily designer.
- I'm a baking freak, so any and all baking supplies like decorative edibles, batter scoops, unusual muffin cup liners, silicone molds, etc. are welcome! I do have tons of liners, so I don't need any unless they are very unique!
- Cookie cutters (PM me to see what I already have please)
- Baker’s twine in any shade but red, I have tons of red/white stripe!
- Got one of these rulers lying around?
http://store.scrapbook.com/ch-th92481.html
I need one!
- Watercolor paints
- ink pads –pigment ink, archival and acid free, but I’m super partial to Tsukineko and Tim Holtz (I have lots of metallics, purple, pink, brick, black already)
- Unusual rubber stamps in zetti, victorian, retro, steampunk or background patterns (I'd love a bird cage or harlequin print)
- Rubber stamp carving tools/supplies (not eraser type)
- any issues of Crap Hound! Even photocopies of your issues work for me!
http://www.boingboing.net/2005/07/24/crap-hound-seminal-c.html
- Vintage ephemera, old paper doilies and hankies, old lace, text pages from old books, old foreign language text (think crumbly old, not 80's old
)
Extras:
- I'd love anything inspired by anything I've wisted! I also have an Amazon wishlist here:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/38KGTSPJ8DPOU
and many etsy faves here:
http://www.etsy.com/people/jojobeandesigns
Or feel free to check my blog for ideas! I am open to surprises!
- Cookbooks or sewing books
Thank you in advance for choosing me!

Hello there! I'm June, born on December 18th....we share a birthday, sloth003!
Isn't it hysterical that my mom would give me the name June for being a December baby? I think so!
I live in Ohio with my husband, a kitty, and two little future friends of craftster....a 4 year old girl & 6 year old boy.
I'm a freelance toydesigner & mainly work on plush, baby toys & preschool toys.
My favorite color is pink.
I'm basically a 5 year old girl in a 30+ year old girl's body.
Themes\Styles I love:
Mary Blair
Vintage advertising from the 40's 50's & 60's
Holt Howard
Shag
vintage deer & kittens
vinyl toys from kidrobot
Crafts:
Fun apron...I do a lot of baking! Love the 50's housewife style like this:
http://www.etsy.com/listing/62437942/i-love-lucy-retro-fifties-red-polka-dot
or a short one like this:
http://www.etsy.com/listing/22195142/bacon-and-eggs-pocket
Thank you elvissatx!!!
Snuggly pajama pants in a whimsical pattern.
Embroidered fabric squares...no larger than 12" x 12" ....will eventually be used by me to put into my babygirl's big girl quilt. I'm saving up & have around 20 so far. Theme is anything that would appeal to a 4 year old pony wrangling rainbow princess.
-Thank you sloth003 for making something cute for me & my girl!
Homemade soap, lip balms, & lotion bars.
A golden girls necklace like this:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=238788.0
A 'bazinga' necklace like this:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=356478.0
Slippers...knit, crocheted... in a mary jane style with a strap.
-thank you akredhead!!!
Totes, bags or purses for carrying anything & everything (all sizes)
Polymer clay food stuff
A big flower fascinator a la Billie Holiday!
Surprises are always good!
Big crafty wishes...I know these probably take hours to make:
hand knit socks...I adore self striping multi colors! ...or socks that don't match in pattern but do in colors...does that make sense? Matching mismatched socks.
I'm in desperate need of a camera bag for my canon EOS 50D. My husband cringes when I bring it along on our car trips & just set the thing down on the floor of the car. I haven't been able to find a bag anywhere & don't even know if there's a sewing pattern for such a thing or not.
-my hubby got me one for Christmas!
A big non crafty wish:
Pink Pyrex in any size...like this:
http://meetmeatmikes.blogspot.com/2008/05/pink-pyrex.html
Supplies:
embroidery floss...especially glow in the dark which I haven't been able to find
-claimed by ollieorange. Thank you so much!!!
yarn ...it's all good!
japanese storybook print fabric with sweets, baby deer, nursery rhyme characters
glitter...always & forever... glitter shapes too
japanese craft books
fun fabric scraps...any size pattern or bright colors.
Misc. Extras:
I adore love's baby soft perfume! It's my fav. color...pink! & I've worn it since I was a kid!
Nail polish - reds rock!
Candies...chocolate is a good thing.

Hello, my name is Pixie and I am a craft-a-holic.
I am going to be a woppin 41 this year…..boo hiss. Mentally I think I am still about 19 for the most part. My day is the 19th. I am a single mom/grandma or actually Nana. My granddaughter is the most awesome 2 almost 3 year old in the world that was born on leap year day! I love crafting, hanging with her, watching BBC America and playing WOW (World of Warcraft). And yes, it sometimes is all at the same time.
I crochet, make jewelry, embroider, do paper crafts and mixed media. I am going to be getting my Grandma’s sewing machine and table so I am gonna start sewing things too! Yay! I want to learn How to Spin yarn, make soap, felt stuff and knit.
I love the color of colbalt blue and jewel tones, fall colors. I also like pink, black and white with soft colors. I am not a big orange person unless it’s mixed with other colors or if its on a marigold. I don’t have a set style, it depends on my mood which varies all the time. Sometimes I feel girley, punk/goth, steampunkish, jeans and tees, retro rockabilly, it just varies depending upon the thought in my head.
I like Disney (lilo and Stitch, Cinderella, All types of Alice in Wonderland, and Peter Pan). Tim Burton is awesome, The Addams Family, All things Harry Potter, day of the dead. One Day I hope to visit England, Ireland, and Scotland. I love seeing pictures and movies of the Italian countryside. My family are from those countries.
Here is the list of things I can think of. You can also see my likes on my wist and etsy faves, the links are in my sig.
K, here goes:
Kits:
Spinning yarn
Knitting
Soap Making
Crafts:
Things with Snowy Owls
Harry Potter Inspired crafts
Embroidered hoops for my hoopla wall
England, Ireland, Scotland Inspired crafts
Wrist warmers for largeish female hands
Thank you Tattooedcrafter!
Yarn bowl
World of Warcraft Inspired Crafts
Winter inspired crafts
Cross for my cross wall collection
Socks and slippers are cool too!
Anything inspired by my wists and/or Etsy
Supplies are cool for the crafts I mentioned I can do in the above paragraphs or even forms of organizers for said supplies.
I forgot, I don't like flowery smells, I get headaches from them. I like more musks or spices. Natural smells, grass, oatmeal, milk and honey, sandalwood, marigold. Stuff like that. Definately no rose or cherry.
I hope I haven’t rambled or made an obnoxious list.
I know what it’s like to have your birthday so close to Christmas and having it put on the back burner every year. There is always at least one person who says they are sorry that they can’t do anything for my birthday because of Christmas. I can’t remember the last time I got a birthday cake. So this is my goal for this swap, I want to make sure everyone gets at least one thing they want! I will make as many things as I can to send to my fellow December babies.
Happy Birthday EVERYONE!!

Hi, My birthday is Dec 22. I'm in Massachusetts US, I do mostly knit, but I also crochet, spin, and used to cross-stitch, embroider and a little bit of tatting. I like the cooler colors (blues, purples, greens) but a little oomph of the red/orange/yellows doesn't hurt either. Nothing holiday themed please - I like being able to use my things all the time, not just a few weeks a year.
My list is in no particular order, and I’ve no preference for knit vs crochet vs sewn vs any other technique as long as it works
Links & descriptions are examples and inspiration, not definite requirements. I put measurements for things that need them (I think I got them all) and feel free to PM me to doublecheck or ask any questions
Thank you for crafting for me
Crafted Stuffs
reusable house stuff like kitchen towels,
pinch potholders
,
double oven mitts
,
dryer sheets
, wool dryer balls, cloth napkins, dusting mitts, cleaning cloths, etc (I have plenty of dishcloths & kitchen scrubbies though. I don't have a swiffer.)
long, lightweight scarf (about 8”x72” / 20x180cm) knit/crochet/weave/sew/whatever
as a point of reference, fleece fabric is thicker than I'm thinking of. It’ll be worn under a coat and a thick scarf gets stuck in the zipper.
Thank you TCMatteson!
A shrug to wear under a coat when you need just a little more than coat-sleeves to keep arms warm
tote bag handle organizer
swirl pendant necklace ala PhoenixFireDesign
3rd pic here
expandable shopping bag
examples here
and
here
pajama shorts or pants (~45" waist)
thin cotton pajama shorts (~45" waist, 7" inseam)
to wear under skirts
wire and bead tree
the 'beginning' of an altered book (I can't bring myself to START altering a book, I mean it's always been "you DON'T write in books!" but continuing something already started, that's a different story )
watch face bracelet
with one watch face that works
amish puzzle ball
pretty 'yarn wrapper' band labels - to wrap around skeins of my handspun with space for writing what kind of fiber, how many yards, etc
Thank you TCMatteson!
handmade soaps/gels (not for bathtub soaking though, please)
Solid sugar or salt scrubs
a pair of
lovebugs
rubik's cube stuffie (
this idea
)
cloth panty liners or light-flow pads (8x2.5” / 20x6cm)
dust cover for the top of a spinning wheel (like a sewing machine cover) Wheel measurements are 8x12x13” / 20x30x33cm (to cover the top of a
Fricke Single Treadle Wheel
not the entire wheel)
quilted (or otherwise padded) laptop sleeve (the laptop’s 10x15” / 25x38cm)
A pretty ladies crocheted/knit/sewn/beadedwire/etc kippah in black
felt collage necklace in colors I'd like
polymer clay swirly pendant necklace charm
Supplies
blocking wires
colored aluminum jumprings or rubber o-rings to use with US size 4 /metric 3.5mm (or smaller) knitting needles
A sewing awl
(any brand is fine, this is just the first one I found a picture of)
Other
Anything inspired by
my wists
(etsy items are tagged there too on the wists)
Surprise me with something I haven’t thought of
Extras
handmade or hand-decorated birthday card for me
your favorite funny book (please not 'funny by being mean/angry/insulting' kind of funny)
'souvenir' bookmarks from where you are
Chocolate, plain or with nuts (unless you want me to share with the hubby - he likes the mint & fruit-filled chocolates)
hot drinks - tea, hot chocolate, coffee

Howdy, my name is Susan, and I will be 24 on December 30th.
I already feel like I am getting old!
I have been married for over a year to my wonderful husband, Brenden. :3
I enjoy doing all crafts, and I always enjoy picking up something new. I have recently started doing bleached t-shirts using freezer paper- it is so awesome! I love to create, it brings me so much happiness! I also want to write and illustrate children's books one day, I have way too many ideas not to pursue that at some point.
My favorite colors are PURPLE, green, orange, robin egg blue, and mustard yellow. I like vintage and antique things. Skeleton keys are awesome. I am growing more "girlie" day by day. I like swirly patterns. I like gnomes, mushrooms, trees, leaves, deer, bears, owls, and cats. Monsters are cool too. I like fruity/floral scents, and dark sexy scents. Creepy-cute stuff is nice- I like the weird and unusual. Flappers and the style from that era are great! Anything that says "carpe diem" on it would be welcome.
WISHES:
Crafted:
Tote bags - I love'em, you can never have too many. I prefer longer handle straps so I can have them over my shoulder.
- thanks kaz814!!!!
Half apron - One that is really cute, vintage, that I can wear around everywhere, not just in the kitchen. One with plenty of pockets. Some frill would be cute.
An adult gnome hat/bonnet- I can measure my head for you if needed. It is kind of biggish.
Any homemade bath and body stuff- soap, body wash, lip gloss, lip balm, make-up, stuff to make me sparkly.
- thanks Troublet!!!!
Arm warmers, stretchy fabric, knitted, or crocheted is welcome. Made a little bit bigger, I am somewhat fluffy.
A hat with kitty ears would be neat!
A nice clutch purse or wristlet would be awesome.
Cute coin purses are welcome.
Fabric flowers I can wear in my hair on the side of my head.
- thanks tattooedcrafter!!!!
Jewelry, like from my wists or based on my likes. Antique looking brooches, flower brooches, I really want some brooches.
Necklaces I prefer long, like 24-25 inches. Adjustable rings.
Anything inspired by my wists- I will be adding more stuff tomorrow when I get a chance!
http://www.wists.com/noxluff
Supplies:
Cute craft books
Origami kit
Resin kit
Glass etching kit
Soap making kit
Begginner's quilting kit (I like to sew by hand... if you have directions for that, I need to teach myself to use a machine again.)
Some kind of jewelry making kit.
Interesting buttons, vintage buttons.
Stuff to paint on, canvas, wood, anything.
Extra:
I like bath and body stuff, body splashes, perfume and perfume oils, make-up.
Gummy candy, not sour.
Tea and cocoa. No coffee please- I try not to drink it too much.
Dark chocolate and Choxie candy bars.
Any odd, cute, and interesting found items.

Hi! I'm Chelsea...I'm turning the big 32 this year. I live in Anchorage, AK and work as a clinical therapist at a mental hospital for kids (I work exclusively with teen girls). I enjoy many different things: reading, playing Sims 2, crochet, scrapbooking, beading and jewelry making, cocktails, all things Firefly/Serenity, Star Trek, Dr. Who, I'm in love with the movie Inception and with the actor Tom Hardy. I also love: hedgehogs, skunks, guinea pigs, bumble bees, and kitties. My favorite colors are jewel tones and earthtones. Please nothing neon or Easter pastel. I also don't care for skulls, death themed items, religious items or thinks made of plastic kid toys.
