Ok guys, I have been having a hayday with miniature foods. I hope that everyone likes them. I appreciate comments and critiques. Sorry if some of the pics suck. My camera isn't very good with macro and these shots are over saturated with light because I took the pics at night indoors.

This first one is a miniature pepperoni and black olive pizza. I sliced it into 8 slices before baking so that I could turn it into pizza slice charms...

And then I created a miniature cherry pie! Omnomnomnom! I did the same thing and sliced it before baking so that I could make each slice into charms.

And then I created some various bowls and plates from clay... This particular set is supposed to be faux wood grain

I used some of the bowls that I created to make miniature ramen noodle bowls. Each bowl contains noodles, boiled egg slices, kamaboko (fish cakes), green onions and a creamy, savory broth. And chopsticks!

This one has grilled shrimp for the meat (if you look really closely, you can see grill marks)

This one has jumbo shrimp for the meat

These two have barbecued pork for the meat (if you look really closely, you can see grill marks)

Thanks again for looking. Please be sure to comment and critique if you have anything to offer!

Wow, those are fantastic! I used to work at a miniatures museum and those are really on the level of some of the things we had there. Great job at nailing realism! Can't believe you even got the wood grain right!

Wow! That is an incredible compliment. I am really proud of them and I try to think of all of the little tiny details that other people might forget, that can make my miniatures stand out among the rest. I appreciate your input so much. It just put a huge smile on my face!

lol, I showed a friend and she wanted to wear it just so she could lick it to see if it would taste like pizza. lol bleh!

Eeeeek! *Hugs* Thank you so much. I am not kidding when I say that they are so amazingly fun. Thinking of all of the different ways to make the little details. Like it's hard to see but the pepporonis have little specklings of white color in them but I used a marbled clay cane that I made for them. And the green onion in the ramen bowls is crumbly and hollow in the centers. I made 4 green canes from not completely conditioned clay which helped them to crumble when I chopped them and many of them had hollowed centers. I swear to you that if you start doing it, you will get inventive and want to make everything mini! This weekend I am planning on doing a ton more bowls and plates to make all sorts of miniatures. Like my sister wants food magnets for Christmas so I am going to do a plate of chicken parmiagana, a bowl of kraft style mac and cheese and custom ingredient pizza for her. I can barely wait. Sorry, I ramble sometimes!

omg And you do food, too! You are amazing Candace, these are so wonderful. The details, I can't imagine how you get such detail in something so tiny, the sheer size of these boggles my mind! Love the cherry pie best, so real, but I'm amazed at the tiny bowls, they are too cool!

Thanks Lynn! You are so sweet. To be quite honest, I find that doing the miniatures is much easier for me than to do life sized items, because the scale of things is so much forgiving when the human eye can't zoom in on every little aspect. lol Miniatures are very forgiving to say the least. I am working on a whole bunch of cute sweets this week so be prepared!
