What do you guys think about forming a knitting group in Rochester?  I know we've got knitters in this city, but I don't know of any knitting groups (for crafty hipsters).  Anyone interested???

The first meeting of our newly formed knitting group, Chicks with Sticks, will be at Spot Coffee (on East Ave. in the city) on Thursday, June 30th, at 7pm.  I'll try to get there just a bit early to gather everyone together.  Bring whatever you are currently working on and look for the knitters!  Hope you can join us!

If anyone would like more information, or would like to be added to the e-mail list, PM me.

You can also visit our Yahoo group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/chicks_with_sticks/

tripleabatterie,
We have had a few meetings already.  You can find current info on the yahoo group message board. (See link above).  We are thinking of going back and forth between coffee shops and bars, so please join us when you can!

Great!  I usually send out reminders the week of our meetings, but I hope to see you at Java's on the 11th!

I joined the group a few days ago (also as fozziebear54, I think), but you won't be seeing me for a while. School doesn't start until the end of August, and a five hour train ride would be a bit much to travel for a knitting group. Tongue

I know there is a craft night at Lux on South Ave.  I think that it's on Thursday.  I used to have a SnB with a bunch of my friends going sundays at noon at spot but we stopped because finals and winter break got in the way.  I Live in the south wedge and am going to school in brockport in the fall. I would loooooove to start up a new SnB in the city!
