hi,  It seems that I read that wire that has been coiled can be pulled through a draw plate.  The viking knit is weaved or something around a mandrel before pulling through the draw plate.  I can't re-locate this info about the coiled wire vs the weaving.  Any tips?  thanks. catdaddytn

I guess I don't really understand the qustion, but I found you a quick tutorial on viking knitting.

I would also think that drawing a coiled wire through a draw-plate would just work to un-coil it and not make it smaller or tougher.

When in doubt, use more glue!

Look Ma, I'm on Ravelry!

it'd uncoil it but it actually would strethen it. Any kind of bending will do that. That's part of the reason why putting bends in wire is way easier than taking them out.
