We moved into the most amazing 1200 square foot heritage apartment (10 foot ceilings! agh!!) in Vancouver, and decorating it has been my DREAM!!

The loving room was Green before, which was okay, but not neutral enough for my endless changing out of things and furniture!

I chose a grey for the walls!

I bought some tree vinyl wall decals for the big living room wall, and I was super happy how they turned out!

The kitchen before was a glossy "mental asylum butter yellow" and it never felt clean to me for some reason:

SO I painted the room a neutral taupe-grey (yeah I tend to lean towards greys!) IMMEDIATELY the built in china cabinet looked cleaner and now it feels much nicer to bake in..

I love this place! I am having way too much fun with it. Smiley I will post my other rooms and projects later on!

These rooms are so beautiful! Your grays have so much personality thanks to your accessories, and I love the idea of a gray kitchen being cleaner. Every wall in my apartment is that "mental asylum butter yellow," so maybe that's the reason my home is always such a mess (and not the old issues of New Yorker stacked in every room!).

Your apartment makeover fills me with envy!

I am in love with the gray living room. Can you tell me what paint you used, it's exactly what I've been looking for for my bedroom.

Also, the kitchen looks fantastic, I love the cabinets.

Yes! Gray is really hard, it took me a long time staring at swatches to find one that was just right!

The brand is :Sherwin Williams, and the shade is called "Proper Gray"

It is the perfect gray in my opinion Smiley

Wow, gray is normally one of my least favorite colors, but with the turquoise, red, and orange accents, it just makes everything pop! Truly amazing!

I agree! I just painted my bedroom gray and it was super hard to find the right color! I love my color but I also really love the color of your living room. It looks great by the way!

If only I would have seen this a couple weeks ago...

Wow! Your apartment is beautiful!!! I love the colors you've used and the way you've put it together.
I am super jealous of your fireplace and your orange mixer.
