These little shorts started life as a T-shirt marking last year's 'bike to work' day.

The T-shirt was getting a bit old and tired, and seemed to be asking for an upcycle! Here's the 'before' photo:

and another view of 'after':

thanks, Gooberts - these have been very popular with my five-year old - the quick and simple things always seem to be his favourites!

Did you just patch on the Vroom? And I love the back pockets too!

Thanks! I used bondaweb to attach the 'vroom' then stitched around the edges with a medium zig-zag stitch. I cut the pockets from the hemmed lower edge of the original T-, so they were super-quick, and stitched them on with a zig zag also. More here if it helps! http://runcibledays.blogspot.com/2010/10/vroom-upcycled-cycle-shorts.html
