After scooting around the christmas board today I came across this http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=349892.0 and had to have a go! And as I'm a tad poorly I though it would be something fun to do with my 2 year old whilst we were stuck in the house. Of course she got bored pretty quickly and I was still fully engrossed an hour later.

These are where the elves are going to stay when they come to put up our Christmas tree.

Thank you very much! They're salt dough dried in the microwave (not sure how that's going to hold up... prob let them dry naturally next time but I was too excited and really wanted to paint them!)

Thinking of doing whole themed villages, snowmen, fairies, jack frost's mansion...

That is a real neat idea.  I like your idea of jack frosts mansion and fairies and snowmen.
