I have finished the stitching! Unfortunately after six tries the embroidery is still not centered into that stupid hoop. I brought one of those plastic/rubber hoops that you have to pull over the second ring.  Angry
Maybe I should try it again another day and start on the back piece now.

I just finished up all of my other pending swaps, so now I have time to concentrate on the hoops for this one.  Hoops have been purchased, now I just need to get started on these tonight. I can't wait.  I have some ideas that I hope turn out great.

It is good to see that there are several other people that have been busy because of the holidays and other crafting, too. Smiley

Javede - those rubbery hoops are really annoying.  So hard to get the fabric to not pull to one side.  I just used one in another swap.  Don't lose hope though.  You can get it to work!!!

I'm off the ENTIRE rest of this week!  Our work week starts on Sunday at my job, so I am back to work then, but for now I'M FRRRREEEEEEE!!!  Have a few Xmas gifts to finish and then I will start the process of finding the design for my hoop and deciding on 3 or 4" to put it in Smiley  I'm excited!!

I can't remember; was there a link posted anywhere that shows/says how to finish the back?

I don't think so but here is the link to the Completed Projects board in Needlework. There are a couple of different finishing techniques stickied at the top. Smiley

For those of you who are having trouble:
Use a slightly larger hoop than the one you plan to mount the work in. Wrap the inner ring with masking tape. It will help with slipping.
When you mount it in the finished frame, it will be in place.
THEN, stitch from one side of the back to the other, all around, like a spider web. Pulling it snug. This will keep it from sagging later on. Finish with felt, fabric, or thick cardstock. The paper works great, because it doesn't add bulk to the back.  PLUS, you can write on it, and include more detailed info.
If you check the gallery, you will see the back I posted as my teaser.

I am finally free to start stitching my partners hoops!!!! I had an art show to put up, and now the install is all done and I can continue crafting Cheesy

Has anyone else been having trouble uploading photos? I've tried a billion times and they wont upload. Im not even sure who to ask about this. I made sure all my files are the right size and everything. I don't know what to do!!!

On another note, I know what design I'm going to do for one of my partners, just have to get it on the fabric and start stitching. I have a theme for the other partner, just not sure on the design. I'm going to try and do one embroidery and one cross stitch, although I have a feeling the cross stitch is going to eat up a lot of time. I'll get it done though Cheesy

I have my ideas all sketched out, fabric and thread all picked out, and I'll start after the holidays.
Just finishing christmas presents and packing in as much work as possible.....then it's on to stitching!
