I have my pattern transferred to the fabric for Belladune's hoop, but I'm not thrilled with my thread options at home.  I'm going to go to Joann's or Michael's tomorrow and pick up some floss so I can get started stitching. Smiley

I still need to finalize a pattern for Deee, but at least I know what I want to do for her now!

No worries K_K! Smiley

Once I have a pattern, the stitching part always goes super fast for me. Cheesy

I think I'm the world's slowest stitcher! Not even halfway done. Oh well, it's still fun Smiley And to be fair I suppose I've been going at it pretty casually. But I come here and you guys are already sending your hoops - eek!

ya know, mom's christmas present didn't seem that ambitious when i started it - a 6" square cross stitch. I saw a kit that looked perfect for mom - great colors, no effort on my part having to choose, Its on 14 count cloth so i didn't think it would be too bad at all. It's taking a lot longer than i expected.... did you know it is over 7,000 little x's in a 6x6 design? As a tiny shortcut I am only railroading the top stitch, but I am still going nuts with worry about whether it will be done in time.

Sorry to go on about it... just my way of saying I am not sending any time soon, but my partners are in my thoughts and ideas are circulating through my mind.

eep 7000+stitches?! that means your needle would pass through the cloth 28000+ times! yikes that does sound ambitious for a 6x6 square!  Best of luck! you can do it!

Yikes! That is some scary math!! Cross-stitch ALWAYS takes longer than I expect it too. I'm certain it's going to be awesome though.

I have everything ready to go for sheepBlue's hoop. I'm excited to start tonight!! I'm also hoping that Songs4Drowning's hoop will be arriving to her soon. Haven't checked the DC for a while...
