Wait, you guys were finding patterns? I don't know if I've ever used a pattern... Well, I guess that one time on the pillowcases... But was that really embroidery? I usually just find a picture I like, take it into photoshop of my tablet, and trace it onto my fabric. Then again I also usually trace it on the back so I don't have to worry about trying to remove the "pattern"... We already covered that, didn't we?

I'm with you on this one jexxican, I just take an image to photo shop, adjust it how, size it and print it. Then if it's embroidery, I trace it with washable pen. I never thought to trace it onto the back, that is a great idea, then you won't get the reversed image either....mmmm. Thanks!

Me too, except it's usually clip art that I open into my photo editor and trace it onto paper then on to my fabric. Smiley

I also usually piece together my own design from pictures/parts of pictures, etc.  I did use a pattern last round...it was a cute vintage design and my partner liked vintage.  I also like Sublime Stitching, but I usually modify them a bit.

imafundork, your teeny sock monkey is adorable!

I also haven't started yet, but vacation starts Friday and that's when I will as well !!

Looking for a vintage magazine (1974 - 1978) that has a fabric nativity set w/ people and animals. An example: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=440861&ppuser=143144.

What a cute sock monkey!  Everything is cute when it is tiny and so well done!

I am absorbing all the tips and hints...I sort of feel lost here, but I am going to give it my best shot to do what is in my head for my partner! Cheesy

Keep those hints and ideas coming...I will be ready to stitch early next week! Cheesy

The sock monkey is adorable, imafundork! Soooo tiny and cute! Thanks for sharing.

Since we have a couple people sent or ready to send, I just want to remind everyone to please send communications to your partner and the organizer that you're assigned to for that particular pairing. Double-check the front page to see which group you are in and keep in mind that if you have 2 partners, you could have 2 organizers too Smiley.

For those that haven't started, don't feel rushed or stressed by the early birds Smiley. We still have plenty of crafting time.

I'm a baaaad teacher.

I stitched away while my students took their finals today. LOL

I'm about 2/3 finished with Krafty_Karasu's piece and I had one of my artistic students revamp my pattern for bexieboo. Smiley

Satin stitch complete. Just French knots to go.

I'm thinking of doing a little background, but it would have to be subtle. I'm glad I've got time to think this stuff over. It's always nice to be able to sleep on stuff like that before you have to jump in and stitch.
