Here's a pic of the two hoops I have. Well, one's not in a hoop, but it's embroidered! I told hubs about this swap and he said we could go to town tomorrow and pick up some hoops. He picked a mini Eeyore hoop kit at Hobby Lobby for me today! He's the best.

Alright, I've got 3" and 4" hoops now.  I promptly put them all on the cat and she was not pleased.

I can't even begin to imagine sending my husband to the fabric store, even for notions.  It would be similar to sending him to Mars.  However, maybe he'll learn a few things this weekend.  For my 30th we're going to NYC to stay with some friends who live in Queens.  Since it's my birthday (and a big one at that) and we're going to be in New York I have a $200 fabric budget.  Weeeeeeeeeeee!  Good deli sandwiches, the Met (especially the costume design part), and fancy fashion fabric!  I'm so excited I could burst.

Anyone have any fabric stores they'd recommend?

I'm so lucky these are small hoops. I've already got two 6" hoops I'm working on for xmas present and my beau just pointed out that we get partners the same day that Cataclysm comes out.  Shocked

Who needs sleep, right?  Grin

I can't wait till it comes out. Been doing the new quests they have already. I'll be playing and taking embroidery breaks during flights and such! lol

I could have sworn that I had posted in this thread, but I don't guess I did.  I was just thinking today that it was so weird that I hadn't gotten any "replies to your posts" about round 3.  Bless my heart, the holidays are kicking my butt and they've barely begun.  I guess I need something relaxing to do, like fill tiny hoops with embroidered goodness.  Come on partner day!

Hi, my name is Robin and I have an addiction - I'm addicted to tiny hoops  Grin

I bought the last 3 Joann's had (in Hoover, AL, near Birmingham) just in case anyone was looking for them, they came to live with me.  I think I now have 9 tiny 3" hoops and 6 4" hoops.  I think I'm all set LOL!!!!  Bring on the partners......

Its times like this I really wish I lived either in the States or near a decent craft store! I think I may have gotten my grubby hands on one 4" hoop lol, Im currently eyeing up the hoops on the wall and wondering if I really want my 10year old stitchery up there  Cheesy

<3 the last unicorn  Smiley

Yay!  I squeezed out some time for a practice hoop.  It's not tiny, but I needed the extra space to practice:

It is just backstitch.  Here's a close up:

Now to finish the back...I know there was a tutorial around here somewhere...

Getting excited!!!!   Grin

So my brother has me for christmas (in our exchange) and I tell him, "Go to Michaels.  Get me some embroidery floss.  and some hoops, or a stand and frame. or some more floss. Don't forget to print off a coupon."  He then says he went into micheals, and found "Nothing cool"  Nothing cool??!?!!!?!  Are you kidding me?!!?  go back!!! buy me floss and hoops!!!!!!! Men!! LOL
