I was at Michael's, and remembered to look for the little hoops. I took most of the small ones they had left! Except for the red, since I figured Chrristmas would be past by then. So, I ended up getting 1small round, 2 small oval, and 2- 4inchers. I was tempted to get some larger ones too, but somehow resisted! So, I'm all set. Just need some partners.

I went to Michael's today too but they didn't have many small hoops. You must have bought all of them, KLKing Wink.

Tattooedcrafter, do you have trick to stitching so he doesn't see it?  or does he know it's coming?  I'm trying to think of a way around my hubby seeing the giant world of Warcraft quilt I'm planning for him, but can't seem to find much of a way....

He knows I'm making him something but doesn't know what and I only work on it when hes not home, I'm hoping he doesn't see it before our anniversary.

Best place to hide something  sometimes, is in plain sight. You just can't talk about it!

....who says you can't use something not mass-produced just for embroidery? How about padded canning jar lids? Or some other inventive frame, like a few twigs tied together? Personally, I'd much rather have the frame cut out of cardboard and wrapped with fiber and fabric, than a plastic molded thing!

Great ideas, KLKing!  Even regular jar lids would work, just wrap a piece of cardboard in fabric to secure the back, like putting a self-covered button together.  How about the top of a small tin?  I just know I'm going to be seeing potential tiny frames all around me now....

You have no idea how sad I am that I don't have any tiny hoops.  (Yeah, I know I could buy some, but given how much cash I've torn through on crafting in the past two weeks, I think my boyfriend might have my head if the next $10 Joann's/Michaels trip turns into $50.)
