Nerdy me waited in line for the midnight showing of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows, and ubernerdy me crocheted a pixie hat and scarf in Ravenclaw colors, lol.  Here's me:

And the goods:

I got the hat pattern here: http://www.freevintagecrochet.com/hats/pixie-fringe-hat-pattern.html Such a cute vintage pattern!

The scarf is my own design, all HDC.  I did run into a bit of a problem when I realized the large buttons I'd bought for the scarf didn't fit through the HDC stitches, booooo.  I solved the problem by stitching buttons to the back side of the scarf as well as the front.  The unseen back buttons affix the front to the back, but only the large buttons show.  SQUEE!

Now... what to wear to the next installment of Deathly Hollows?  Wink

How awesome! A great way to show some HP love, without going over the top (Not that there's anything wrong with going to the show with an owl and a Dumbledore beard Smiley) Super cute scarf!

There will always be people who say mean words  because you are different, and sometimes their minds cannot be changed. There are many more people who do not judge others based on how they look or where they are from. THOSE are the people whose WORDS truly matter.

Very nice!  We went to see the movie too, I 'still' dont have a scarf, but I wore my gryffindor uniform.  Well, I didnt see a single person wearing harry potter gear besides me.  So, I think I was the coolest person there because of that reason.  Cheesy

Love it! I've already got a Hufflepuff scarf and have been looking for a hat pattern...this one is so cute!

(My alliance really is with Gryffindor, but I can't ever find the right shade of scarlet...  Wink)
