That's really cute!
I absolutely love the lining =)
I want to try making one, but with a larger book... I hope it works!

Well... I actually do have one. How did you attach the "bag" part to the book cover? Glue (if so, what kind)?

Hot glue!  I read somewhere you could also use e600.  I actually wrapped my fabric around thin cardboard so the front part would be smooth.  (this will also reduce the space in your purse)  I also glued the straps to the book itself, not to the lining.  Not sure if that's the best way or not, I am thinking about sewing my straps to the lining next time so it's not as bulky.

Super cute! I had seen these on another site and tried to make one for myself. I used hot glue, but it didn't stand up to wear. I think I'll try E600 glue next time. I sewed the handles to the purse and that worked well. Thanks for sharing.

That's what I was afraid of with gluing the fabric to it.  That's why I wrapped it around very thin cardboard (like posterboard only a tiny bit thicker) and glued the poster board to the book.  I think I'm going to try sewing the handles on next time to reduce bulk.  I don't know why I didn't think.
