So My milk was on the verge of spoiling - close but not quite - So what do you do? Bake- I made biscuit and Custard Pie

Very easy and delicious

you will need:

single crust pie shell, uncooked

for the filling:

4 eggs
3/4 Cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
1tsp vanilla extract
2 1/2 Cups of scalded milk

In a large bowl combine the eggs, sugar, salt, vanilla, and nutmeg

in a saucepan heat the milk to 82 degrees, add scalded milk a little bit at a a time to egg mixture to avoid cooking the eggs once all the of the milk is incorporated into the egg mixture pour mixture into pie shell bake  at 350 degrees for 30-35 mins or until knife inserted into center comes out clean

*you can skip scalding milk and mix everything (save pie shell) together then bake increase cooking time to 50-60 mins
