Easy Tea Cup candles

 I bought two complete tea cup sets at Ross for $5.99. I bought 1lb of soy candle mix at micheals for $8.99, and several wicks for $3.99. I added scent from www.saveonscent.com (amazing website carries every scent you can imagine!!)

I melted the wax in a cup and added my scent. The cup on the left is Hazelnut Cappuccino, the cup on the right is Trix cereal.  



The entire project cost less than $20

Oh, I love these - I am holding a little vintage tea party for my birthday and I think I'll be making these for favours!

They smell great except, Im not sure the oil I bought was ment for candles. Saveonscents.com sells oils for extremely cheap. They smell amazing!! I made soap out of them, in the shape of doughnuts -http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=365247.0-

Which turned out wonderfully!! But when I lit one of the candles, it popped o.O Im not sure if it was how I made the candle, or that it popped each time it hit the scented oil... But I suggest using these with saucers (so if it pops no wax gets on your table) and no where around kids/pets.

To me it is still worth it to use these candles, since they are in a cup, with a saucer under it incase of messes. For these candles I used less than 1/4 teaspoon of the scented oil and it was more than enough

Cute - I love the pretty old teacups from secon-hand stores, but I always drink my coffe from mugs. So this is a funny way to use them.

Saveonscents.com sells chocolate (hot cocoa), mocha, coffee scented oils that would work great for a coffee mug candle ^.^
