I've never done one of these swaps before.
It sounds so fun.
Such a short signup period made this an impulse decision.
But I won't regret it. Swapping is my crack.
And I bet this will be nice to receive right at Christmas. (:

K no, it is in the doll house waiting to be painted. I have been having a very lack of energy lately. Working on Stocking tomorrow, I'm off, and don't even ask me why I am up this time of night. (Hit and run in front of the house).

Dizzer, there wasn't a prize, but just the recognition. I like to doodle on all packages I sent out and color them up. We had some beautiful envies that round.

Can't wait! I've been looking for flat stuff everywhere I go!

Does anyone know a common thing that weighs about an ounce to compare envelopes to? Also, for anyone that has done this swap before, do you bring your envelope to the post office to make sure that it weighs an ounce or just send it out and hope for the best? (I don't have a small scale at home).

You can go to the store and get 1oz of some bulk food. The post offices around here have a scale out in the lobby that you can use to weigh things so you don't have to stand in line (or secretly weigh guinea pigs before filling out fair entry forms. Shhh, don't tell) Or, go back to the bulk aisle and plop your envelope on the scale (does not work with guinea pigs  Wink )

Yikes! I only have until midnight to decide if I'm joining or not. Off to gaze at the galleries.
