We have built up quite a cork collection since we've been living in Spain and I've been keeping them in a shoebox on top of the fridge for so long. Not wanting to throw them away because, you know, they might come in handy some day Wink

Our adventure out here is coming to an end and we're starting to pack things up and move home, but what to do with the corks? Taking them home in a box is pretty sad, and I've already made trivets out of some. Hmm. Time to get festive with the wino chic! Cheesy

And also (because you can never have too many festive corks Tongue) an advent calendar! Cheesy
I'm going to pin sweets on to the corks for each day.

I love your wine cork crafts!

If you have plenty left, you might consider making one of these:

I use approx. 500 wine corks for each wreath. But of course you could also make smaller ones.

And if you can crochet, I love the little ninjas, gnomes and knights of LucyRavenscar:

I'm looking for Simplicity 6340 (the 1970's sailor dress). PM me if you've got a copy to swop or sell! Cheesy

The banner is so cute! You have been awfully busy lately making beautiful little trinkets out of all your corks and spools. How's the packing going?  Roll Eyes

Thanks!

Those ideas are really cute, Sisa! We've had such a great time out here so we're sad to go home. But happy to be with our friends and family again Grin

I might have to try and make one of those, BeaG. Thanks for the idea!

Packing is going well, racky. At least I'm sure it will once I start! I seem to be doing great at avoiding it Tongue We got some boxes yesterday so we feel like we've made a step forward Cheesy

Phizzy- Your work is definately one of the ones on Craftster that most people recognize who the artist will be  when seeing the thumbnail. I've always wanted to ask, do you think Spain influenced your work a lot, or have you always had this style?

Thank you! I think being over here has definitely allowed me to develop my style a lot. Not just because I've had so much free time, but being surrounded by so many amazing buildings, intricate ceramics and inspiring landscapes has definitely played a huge part. You can't help but be inspired and soak up ideas!
