Nothing says Christmas like a used wine cork!

We have built up quite a cork collection since we've been living in Spain and I've been keeping them in a shoebox on top of the fridge for so long. Not wanting to throw them away because, you know, they might come in handy some day

Our adventure out here is coming to an end and we're starting to pack things up and move home, but what to do with the corks? Taking them home in a box is pretty sad, and I've already made trivets out of some. Hmm. Time to get festive with the wino chic!

If you have plenty left, you might consider making one of these:

I use approx. 500 wine corks for each wreath. But of course you could also make smaller ones.

Packing is going well, racky. At least I'm sure it will once I start! I seem to be doing great at avoiding it We got some boxes yesterday so we feel like we've made a step forward

Phizzy- Your work is definately one of the ones on Craftster that most people recognize who the artist will be  when seeing the thumbnail. I've always wanted to ask, do you think Spain influenced your work a lot, or have you always had this style?

Thank you! I think being over here has definitely allowed me to develop my style a lot. Not just because I've had so much free time, but being surrounded by so many amazing buildings, intricate ceramics and inspiring landscapes has definitely played a huge part. You can't help but be inspired and soak up ideas!

I LOVE the card holder! My mom is an avid winer (uhm... that doesn't sound right... how about she appreciates good wine. That sounds better!). That card holder may have to be one of her Christmas gifts this year - thanks for the idea!!
