I found a cute tutorial for this a while ago and decided I had to try it.  Here's my version.  At the end of the acorn gathering, there were 8 cold holds, 2 bags of acorns...and a good time had by all.  The red fabric bow was made by fabric scraps I had laying around.

There's a link to the original tutorial here...happy crafting folks!

I love this! So simple but beautiful. I think it's time to take the kids acorn hunting at their grandpa's farm.  Grin

Thanks everyone!  Tip: gather more acorns than you think you'll need...and then get some more.  Grin  I had to make two trips...and I started with two rather full bags of acorns.  And um, apparently maggots like to use acorns for their homes, so bake them in the oven for 20 around 250-275 before you make the wreath.  I...ehmmm...found two little friends while I was making my wreath.

*gagging*

Specifically if you find one with a hole in it, toss it.
