I am a quilter and you have nothing to worry about, its fantastic!!!
Awesome job on the quilt and I know she will like it!
Your lines are darn good, definately something to be proud of!

~see how on the backing picture the quilt looks a bit stretched in the upper right corner? When you cut your fabric to make your blocks becareful not to cut on the bias-you likely know this but that's why it will go wonky on you. I learned that the hard way!

Keep up the great work!

Thanks! Smiley

I tried not to cut anything on the bias but I bought those pre-cut fat quarters they sell at my Jo-Anns and while the majority were nicely done there were a couple that were not anywhere NEAR square, especially after the pre-washing. Omg, it was awful. Most of them I managed to arrange well enough to get my pieces on there but there were just 2 that would NOT cooperate, that blue block in the upper corner was made of one of them. *sigh* In hindsight I suppose I could've tried using some light interfacing when I sewed so it wasn't *so* wonky and obvious in the end.

This quilt would make ANYBODY happier... and give them hope ^^. I'm a quilter myself and I've put off a ton of projects for lack of enthusiasm. Seeing this gives me warm fuzzies and makes me want to start again. Thanks for the unintentional inspiration. Keep going!

Gorgeous! I love the rainbow freehand quilting, at first I thought it was the print on the fabric, it looks perfect with the rainbow colors.
Good luck on all those quilts! That's definetly quite the workload, but I'm sure everyone will love them which does make it all worthwhile.
