I knitted these for my boyfriend's birthday recently and I'm really pleased with how they've turned out!  I used a plain fingerless glove pattern and then altered a transformers chart off Ravelry to make it fit on the back of the gloves.  They knit up so quickly, I'd definitely make them again.  The wool is from New Lanark wool mill, a Scottish World Heritage Site that makes wool in the traditional way and the funds from the sales of wool go into maintaining the site as it's been for the past 150 years.  The wool is a complete bargain as well, if you're in Britain I would encourage you to buy from there!  I'm not sure if they do international delivery but it would be worth checking out!

Sweet!

These would look great as fraternal mitts, the other mitt could have the Decepticon logo, hehe.

Haha, thanks everyone!

I should have mentioned, I have already made the other one to match (I should have taken a photo of both!) but I LOVE the idea of making one Decepticon and one Autobots!

Were the gloves worked in the round? How did you incorporate the image onto the piece?

Great mittens! Thanks also for the link to New Lanark - it's a reminder that I should visit as I live relatively nearby.

I really like the mitts - and I'm thrilled about the site, thank you for the link! I'm considering knitting a "Rogue" hoodie for myself.. I bet the aran silk tweed would be really nice for it. How does the wool feel to the touch when it's knit up?
