Friendship Spools

I saw this idea here (http://ephemeralalchemy.blogspot.com/2010/02/thread-spool-poetry.html) and knew I had to make some for my friends. I wanted to include 3 things which are really important; love, laughter and of course my friends!

I made them a bit more scrappy, err shabby chic? They were made from whatever I had to hand, so they were a great way of using up little scraps of things, and I'm sure they will be appreciated more than anything I could have bought.







I used paper to attach the fabric to the spool. Had to get some paper in there somewhere!

Ha ha, you have to do it, AR, they're so much fun to put together and I know yours would be better!

I think I might have to make one for my bloke too, but it would have to be random song lyrics or something not so mushy

What a great idea. I love them! What about putting a loop on them so people can hang them from their Christmas tree? (Now I think I have a new project.)

"Better" is just crazy...different is more accurate.

Racky, I love the ornament idea. Maybe I'll make one for my parents' tree this year, because I won't get to see them over the holidays.

I made these the other day (yes I'm going through a spool-obsessed stage)...but I didn't put the two ideas together
