My three year old is crazy about Tinkerbell. Last year she made up a song just in time for Christmas called the "Tinkerbell Rock." It goes to the tune of Jingle Bell Rock. It's adorable when she sings it. I knew exactly what to make her for Christmas this year. My goal is to use supplies in my stash and buy as little as possible. Even so, I did have to buy a few supplies. Anyway, here she is.

She's made using the Elenore (Booby Poppet) pattern adapted from the original Poppet pattern by Ghilie. Her face is needle sculpted, and then painted using acrylics and textile medium. Clothes were drafted specifically for this doll and are sewn on.

I knew who it was as soon as I saw the thumbnail! Your daughter is going to go crazy, seriously. I mean, I *would*  - I'm a huge Tink fan, although, ahem, a little older than your wee one. Wink

Her face is perfect and her hair, her clothes -- really brilliant job on all of it! Lucky, luck girl!!  Smiley

Wow, it looks just like Tinkerbell!  And so way better than the crap you find in the stores!  Your little girl is going to be one happy little girl on Christmas morning!

She saw me working on it, and knew after I'd put on the hair who it was and who it was for. She's seen the picture, and now has to wait patiently until Christmas morning to get her. I'm surprised that she hasn't thrown a fit. She's being very adult about the whole thing.
