Last year I made my first yo-yo necklace (
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=323804.0) from a bunch of random beads and scraps of fabric, and I loved it!
It was also pretty well received among my friends too... so I made lots of others! They will make good gifts, I guess!
Here's some pics:

similar to mine, but without any frayed end... that would be a little too much for my friends, LOL!

same palette of colours, a slightly more regular shape

colorful cotton: the printed fabric was actually a dress my mom made for herself in her 20's!

I found this great fabric in my attic... a denim-hued cotton with a silver lurex thread in the fabric... is shiny but still quite modest... love it!

a smaller one

back to my beloved mauves and lilacs. With cute satiny glass beads

two tones of mauve satiny fabric, with amber colored faceted beads

same fabric as above mixed with some shiny organza which used to be a skirt I wore for a skating number, with lots of tiny rosy pearly beads

more of my former ice-skating skirt, with large and small white pearls... a bit more over the top compared to the others, but I love it!
I hope you like them!
