I was so inspired by all the button trees on Craftster that I decided to make one for my mom. When my grandmother passed a few years ago, my mom inherited her antique button collection (about 5 sugar cookie tins full of antique buttons!) My mom doesn't craft as much as she used to, so she gave me ALL the buttons! I know my mom always loved her mom's button collection, I thought this would be a good way to display some of them.

And a close up of the buttons, because they are so pretty!

Thanks for looking!

Really cool. And a nice sentiment too.

This is awesome! You did a great job! I have my own button collection with no idea what to use all my pretty buttons for, maybe I'll try this too!

I'm up for personal swaps! PM me if you would be interested!

Thanks everyone for your nice comments! And for all of you thinking about making a button tree, you should! It only took me a couple of evenings of tv to stitch it up during (5 hours tops).

That is a beautiful tree made from beautiful buttons.

I love this tree! It looked like an intricate embroidery in the thumbnail pic, I was suprised to see it was buttons. That's such a perfect way to show them off.

So many fabrics, so little time . . .
