I've been away from embroidery for quite a while, dabbling in all sorts of other things, but I recently felt the urge to stitch up something quick, so I did. Smiley

I just drew the picture onto the fabric (linen, by the way, my favorite!) with a water-soluble pen and started stitching. I was inspired by a drawing in my sketchbook, and I knew I wanted to keep the color minimal, and that's about all I started with.

It's all done with back stitch and a sort of long and short stitch for some of the fill. It's only about 2.5" in diameter!

Thanks for looking.

Very Cute! It's sometimes so satisfying to do a quick project. It's an interesting design, and since it came out of your sketchbook, there may be a story to it?
I've been getting the urge to do small stitchery things too. Have you decided to keep it, or gift it?

KLKing, thank you. There's no story to it, just something that came along one day. Smiley

I actually made this piece for my shop, since I hadn't updated it with "real" merchandise in a while. I think I might end up making something similar for myself, though, ha!

that's super cute!  I love the colors, they are kind of reminiscent of a sunset.

I love this- even though it makes me feel sad for some reason.
Tiny things are so wonderful.
