My four year old really likes stuffed animals. And he really likes Star Wars. And, for some reason, he really likes the Rancor monster (the one Jabba keeps in his basement). It's hard to believe, but Simplicity and McCall's don't offer a pattern for this guy! So after a lot of trial and error, I'm done with my son's birthday present:

My husband knew what it was as soon as he saw it.

That is SO cool!  I always had a sneaking secret love for the Rancor too.  He had hidden depths, or else his caretaker wouldn't have mourned him so.  I know your son will completely love it, it looks so good!
