I'm freaking out. also, the interfacing i used made a weird line at the middle of my fabric and i have none left.

i suck at sewinggggg. please help!!!

I haven't seen the pattern, but have seen the bag. From the photos it just looks like you make a fold at the top, sew the fold together a few inches from the top, then flatten it for sewing on the top trim. Here's one of the photos I looked at http://www.flickr.com/photos/kiahgrey/5115419791/

I have the same question!  I think you sew a vertical line one inch in from the crease (the folded-in-half side) but I have no idea how long the line should be!!

Hi, This is a bit of a late reply but you never know if someone might find it useful so here goes.

You fold the pice in half so the 2 curved side edges are together. You want to measure in from the folded edge I think it's 3.5 cm's but the pattern will tell you the right amount.

From the top straight edge draw a straight vertical line towards the bottom of the piece however many cms long  the pattern says and then stitch over it.

Then all you do is open up the little pocket you have made and flatten it so an equal amount is on either side of the seam you have sewn.

Iron it and you have a pleat.
