What do you think about a placemat swap?  I'm a quilter, so these are sort of  instant gratification projects for me.  Which I love.  I've also received some great knit & crochet ones as well.  We could start sign ups in January if anyone would be up for it.  What do you think about swapping for a set of 4?

I would love a placemat swap! I make embroidered placemats, mainly out of linen - would love to make something themed for a partner Smiley

Have you seen the embroidery patterns of cells and science geekery stuff?  I would love some like that.  Actually, I've inhereted a table linen addiction from my mom.  I love placemats, table runners and cloth napkins.

I was just thinking about this as we just got a new table and I want to keep it nice...

Will be making my first ones tonight...

YAAAY! I'm still a novice quilter so small projects like this are right up my alley! Grin I would like to participate if the timing is right (I'm a first time swapper). This would be lovely.

We'll have to wait a bit, as there doesn't seem to be too much interest.  It's a crazy time with the holidays, now.  Hopefully in the new year more people will be up for it.

This sounds fun, I would be up for it in the new year. I saw the cutest quilted placemat on a blog yesterday, I'll have to try to find it to share.

Here's the one I saw the other day that I liked so much. I looked all over for it last night and couldn't find it, luckily today she posted the pattern so it popped up in my g reader lol!

I would like to participate in this one.  Hopefully sign ups for this one will come end of January/early February since there are so many swaps planned for right after the holidays.  I am a novice quilter and also purchased an embroidery machine so I would be up for trying a few things out.
