I'm such a geek!

so... all warmed up for the Dr Who Swap!!

ALL the fabric used here is upcycled, the white floral stuff was a duvet cover I got for free from a carboot sale and the funky 70's brown stuff also came from a carboot sale, and it's a curtain :-) I'm MAD paying 1 for a single curtain but I loved the pattern... I thought I might make a skirt out of it but there wasn't really enough.... also I thin that the whole 70's theme goes with the subject matter :-)

I like it, it's geeky and girly and upcycled... and a handbag!!! my 4 favourite things!!!

I know, I know, get on with the pictures!

It's a modifiaction on very purple person's reversible bag pattern and there's a video on my blog detailing how to add the pocket etc... I've also uploaded my TARDIS and K-9 applique templates on my blog which you're welcome to have...

K9!! Awww! I like the 70s fabric, and 1 for a curtain is hardly much, considering how much material you get. Is the brown fabric corduroy?

yea you're right, 1 isn't much, I'm just so used to getting things for 20p at carboots :-) especially things that are more or less useless to 'normal' people (like a single curtain) the brown fabric does have an awesome pattern to it, it didnt have a tag but it is very heavy, definitly couroy-ish

THANKYOU!! :-)

I don't often go to car boot sales but I never find bargains like that! Having a nosy at your blog and FB- I love TNG! I used to say I was a Star Trek person, never Star Wars or Dr Who but I've taken to watching the Christopher Eccleston eps on the one channel. I like Torchwood as well, and David Tennant Dr Who..*swoon*

Ah Melissa :-) David Tennant's doctor is take-him-home-and-cover-him-in-chocolate yummy :-) thanks for checking out my blog etc, I'm qute a well rounded geek, Dr Who, Star wars/trek, battlestar galactica, the only thing I dont like is Blake's 7 *shudder* but yes, TNG is the one I grew up watching, I always wanted to grow up to be Deanna Troi :-)

OMG, that is so cool!  My son and I have been watching the old Tom Baker episodes of Dr. Who--you're right, the 70's fabric is perfect!

I am an apologist for the spiders.

Just treat me no differently than you would the Tarantula Queen.
