I saw a this photo of baby hedgehogs and fell in love.  I decided to try my hand at making up my own pattern so I could have one of these cuties, if only in yarn.
I'm really happy with the result.
Here's a link to the free pattern:

It's so cute! Did you make the legs poseable?

Guardie for life.

I am really interested in doing a personal swap, especially for greener things like reusable lady items, wool dryer balls, or other such things.  I can knit, sew, draw, and put things together in pretty neat ways.  Please PM me if you're interested.

Aw, what a sweet face. Much cuddlier than a real hedgie too.

Thanks, everyone!
I didn't make the legs bendy this time, because they are so small, but it could easily be done by crocheting around a bent pipe cleaner.
I put a pattern on my blog if anyone wants to try it out.  I'm new at writing patterns to share, so if there's any part that's hard to understand, just let me know and I'll try to explain better.
I was asked to make a few of these for a friend, so I'll be making more, using my own pattern...I'll do one with wire in the legs and add that to the pattern, but it won't be until the weekend as I have too much yard work.
Oops, I almost forgot...here's the link http://craftkat.blogspot.com/2010/11/crocheted-baby-hedgehog-pattern.html
Take care,
Kat
