My DH finally told me what he wanted for Christmas.. A Welder! I had to turn my head away so he couldn't see the excitement on my face.. all these craft ideas and projects started flying through my head!! I couldn't believe my hubby asked for a present that I would love to have and will probably use more than him.

So, I started looking at the stores... and I quickly realized that I was in over my head. MIG, TIG, Spot, Arc welders..... so many to choose from?!? Which one do I choose???

Well, my question is Which one do I buy that will work for my husband (who has only welded a few times and will be using it for odds and ends) and for me. I will love to be able to use it to make jewelry and maybe some yard decorations.

Please help.. Thank you!!

This may be a moot point for you so close to the holiday, but I would think arc welding would require buying less stuff than mig or tig.

Thanks for the tip! But I had to break down and just ask him which one he wanted.. Shocked/ Not much of a surprise but he loved it the same.
