I was lucky enough to attend New York Fashion Week this past September.  While I was there I checked out Mood Fabrics, as seen on Project Runway, and picked up this UH-mazing silk brocade.  And I made a pretty skirt.







It's hard to tell but the dots have a metallic, embossed effect, which is so fab.  I used a regular pencil skirt pattern and added the peplum skirt myself.

Oh lucky you!!!! I just want to spend hours and hundreds in that store. I drool over every clip I see on the show... lol. And you picked up such a pretty fabric too! Love the skirt. <333

@skyyangel Thank you! I didn't even really shop I was just in shock at how much amazing stuff was there.  Fabric orgasm.  On my way out this caught my eye and I had one of those  Shocked fabric moments.

Your skirt is UH-mazing. The fit is divine!! Great job.

Good for you for finding such an awesome fabric at Mood. I think I would just stand there with my mouth open drooling.

Great skirt.  I love the style and the fabric.

Does the fabric fray badly?  If so how did you finish the inside of your seams?
