there are 2 bare lightbulbs...   each is 100 watts and the fixture is hooked up to a dimmer so it goes from almost "candlelight" feel to full on brightness for when I need to see real well...

OMG! I am in LOVE with this! I've always admired the mason jar ones, but my dinning room is much to small for something that large suspended in the air. But I think the smaller version with the baby food jars would be perfect. LOVE it. Bookmarked Btw   Grin

since they arent sealed, you could also add a little water and food coloring (depending on what holiday) when the light hits the colored water i bet that would cast some awesome colors in the room!
