My daughter loves Elizabeth's gold dress from the first Pirates movie so this year for Halloween we decided to recreate it.



The skirt got smooshed against the column in this pic, but you can see from the others how full it was. She's got two petticoats under there.



I embroidered and beaded the front:




The back closes with a double row of grommets for the criss-cross look. But I deliberately made it too big this year so she can wear it again and we doubled up the grommets.



This was such a fun costume to make, one of my favorites ever by far!



Waiting for Will. Just so long as he brings Captain Jack along for me  Grin

Wow, this is amazing! Such a lot of work to put into a costume, too - hope she wears it at every opportunity! I think she needs to take up cosplay or something just to show this off.
