Last week mister husband and I attended the Detroit Fanfare Zombie Walk as a zombie bride and groom. I had originally attended to create a sugar skull bag for the walk, but couldn't embellish my bag by the time the walk came around (thanks to getting married, moving, etc). So the bag was simply a skull for the walk.

Today I put the final touches on it!

I think I will sew a liner into it eventually...maybe once I get a sewing machine. In a way, this was my sugar skull for [late] Dia de los Muertos in honor of my Grandmother. She taught me how to crochet, enjoy crafting, and live life with laughter. This year was 5 years since she passed away.

Now I'm ready to go out on the town! Which, conveniently, will be tonight ^_^

I made the pattern myself  (still in its prototype stages) and crocheted the bag with worsted weight yarn.

The Doctor: I do!
Jack: Who looks at a screwdriver and thinks, "Woo, this could be a little more sonic."?
The Doctor: What, you've never been bored? Never had a long night? Never had a lot of cabinets to put up?

Great idea for a a bag, and it looks very good on you. Hehe, I can see how getting married would stall crafting (congrats Grin). Love the grandma tribute. Great piece to commemorate her!
