Hey there everyone! Ok, Ponyo is my 3 year old's absolute favorite movie. So what did she want to be for Halloween? Exactly. Well, nobody makes a Ponyo costume so I had to figure it out myself. Then I though, well, if I have to make a costume for the little girl Ponyo then I could make my baby the fish Ponyo! So, that's what I did. I altered the Simplicity Pattern 3588 (I actually had to do a LOT of altering because I bought the wrong size - d'oh!) but I mainly just needed to cut most of the skirt off. For Ponyo's bloomers I used the Colette Patterns Madeleine Mini-bloomers pattern. I also had to seriously alter it since these bloomers are for women and not 3 year olds. Wink
For my baby, i simply took the Simplicity pattern 5720 and altered it a bit, cutting away some of the red at the bottom and middle and replacing it with white to make it look more like a goldfish. I think they turned out great and, what's more, my 3 year old loves her outfit! Yay! Win for me!

Thanks guys! I seriously thought about making a giant thing of felt ham, but then I could just see her complaining about carrying it with her... should have made it anyway, I think. Wink it was fun - maybe I should have the littlest a giant piece of ham!!!
