I made this little robin for zilamonster in the OWS.



He's adapted from a pattern in Inspirations magazine (I usually do my own patterns, but he was too cute to resist!)

I stitched him on linen, using real silk (soie d'alger, wonderful stuff), and a little fine rayon (Rajmahal) for the legs and beak. Long and short stitch, satin stitch, running stitch and contrast couching. The hoop is 3 inches diameter, so he's quite tiny. The colours are better in real life, but photos don't really do justice to the silk.
