I ended up making three costumes this year- but I am only showing these 2 because they look the best- it was...hectic...getting everyone ready this year. Next year I have decided I'm not costuming 7 people- or hoping they'll maintain their costumes.

I was supposed to get these started in the beginning of October, but a family emergency pulled us away from home for over two weeks and when we got home I had about 10 days to get them finished.

My son wanted to be Boba Fett from the Clone Wars cartoon, so I ordered him a flight suit in xtra small- he's a tiny kid and it was much TOO small so he ended up wearing the one I had ordered for his sister- since that was too small for her. I made the cape, his belt, holsters, pouches and modified his blaster from a dollar store neon green toy gun. For his blaster I used some parts from lowes- some clamps and a pipe fitting, black spray paint and cut up 3 plastic straws. His belt is made from brown naugahyde and velcro, pouches and hoslster from the same material. His cape is olive green fleece and I cut an opening big enough for his head and sewed it down to keep it from stretching. The knee pads are souble thickness white naugahyde and velcro. They wrap around his knees and a piece of velcro on his flightsuit and the knee pad keep it in place.
Young Boba Fett:

The helmet he got at target- but it was pretty heavy so it rode in the wagon with our baby ewok. Smiley

Jaina Solo is the daughter of Han Solo and Leia Organa Solo- she is a pilot and a jedi- and since my daughter didn't want me doing Leia buns like I did last year she chose this costume- because Jaina's hair is just like hers.
Her flightsuit didn't fit and we didn't have enough time to order a replacement- so we hit target for the black skinny pants and a black long sleeve shirt. She got the boots for her birthday. Her costume was fairly simple, the belt is all I really had to make for it. It's made from brown, gray and black naugahyde. Her blaster was also a dollar store repurpose. I used a pipe fitting epoxied to the end to make it more "Star Wars" and use a hot knife to cut off a trigger guard and extra handle, then I spray painted it black. She was pretty happy with the result.

wow great job!  what lucky kids!  i like how you modified the tooy guns, I so would not have recognized them as the normal cheap kids toy.  Both custom look very professional.  Smiley

Thanks! I just couldn't bring myself to buy the "official" blasters- they had horrible reviews and they were really expensive- this was so much better and the paint was the most expensive part. Smiley

Oh. My. Goodness. These are the the most adoable and well done halloween costumes I think I've ever seen. They both look excellent and I love what you did with the blasters! They're totally unrecognisable as dollar-store finds!! Great work, you're kids are so lucky to have such a cool craftster for a mom!

Thanks guys! They come up with the ideas and I do my best to run with them. Smiley I think I have more fun making them than they do wearing them.
