As I am engaged to be wed in the next year, I thought that this year my costume should be only fitting.  I hand sewed (only because my sister's Singer would not work for me) this costume from a 'Simplicity' pattern, removing the sleeves.  I was quite proud of my work and that I was able to fix my hair (yes, that's my own hair) in a very authentic way.
