12lbs!! mandy!! seriously I will be as big as a house if you send that much...eat at least half...please..lol

haha Smiley  I'll probably end up following your advice and sending two smaller boxes.  My problem right now is more bulk than weight..  some of the bagged things are kind of big to try to cram into the flat rate box...  I'm going to call the post office today and see what they'll recommend..

Just bought a load of things for the swap, now I just need to get crafting. I have a funeral to go to tomorrow, so I can get my crafty brain going after that's over.

Everyone have ideas on what to make? x

I'd be interested in doing a personal swap with anyone who wants to do a fabric-wool swap. I have lots of wool and yarns!

I think I'm done shopping  - I went to a store today that had a lot of novel candies and came home with WAY too much.  I'm hoping to finish crafting this week then mail out over the weekend.

Did you find anything out? I was thinking the same thing- my package probably won't weigh a lot, but stuff is going to be bulky. I'm wondering if flat rate might not be the best way to go?

Also, finished my craft! I have an urge to keep crafting though  Smiley

I forgot, but I kind of decided to do 2 smaller boxes instead of one big one..  I also think it might be a better idea not to go Flat Rate.  A year or two ago, I did a swap to the UK..  my box was pretty big and weighed at least 4 or 5 pounds (it had a necklace, tea, cards, four vintage cocktail glasses, and some other stuff) and ended up being $35 to ship..  I think I can ship two boxes of 3 lbs or less for hopefully $15-$20 a box..

I feel like a bum.  I had planned to craft sometime this week and buy the goodies Friday, when I get paid but have not crafted anything yet.  I know what I want to do, I've just come down with a nasty cold or whatever and have had no energy to do anything, even read Harry Potter  Shocked.  So hopefully by the end of the weekend I'll have everything ready to go.

Many thanks to Deadbathducky who has agreed to a personal swap for the Japanese candies my daughter wants for Christmas.  And many thanks also to those of you who PM'd me offering to help me out.  I love Craftster!

I've been shopping..I am on the strictest diet in the world (yes great timing for a snack swap..lol) so it was actually fun in a masochistic way to buy a load of sweets, crisps and biscuits (which translates into candy, chips and cookies..for those of you across the pond)

Hope to get the stuff mailed this week!
