Wow! I can't believe how many people have already hit the stores! I probably would have been out there too if I didn't have to work on a ridiculous paper that's due this week.
And I have no will power. If it's here I'll eat it, so I'd better wait to go shopping until my "snack carrier" is done being crafted. PLUS, I want to make sure that I've looked into some local stores around here so that PearlyWhirly gets a good sample of upstate NY snacks!

For those of you sending snacks from Canada to the US. Have you ever had problems getting it through customs? What did you write as the package contents?

I hit the stores tonight - if I didn't go now, then I'd have to bring my 2 year old and he'd want to 'sample' all the goodies I picked up!  I also bought a container that I want to plan on decorating.  Now to figure out what size box will fit everything in nicely!

I made the crafty part tonight. Tomorrow I will pick up the boxes and will probably send a large list to my partner of things I thought of to make sure she doesn't have those items there, then will eventually pick a few things from that long list (so she will still be surprised) and go shopping.

So excited about this swap. Have some great ideas for what snacks to get...can't pick them up until next week though. But that gives me lots of time for crafting. Smiley If all goes well, I'll be able to mail out next week too. LOVE snacks from the UK! My daughter is also crazy excited and quivering at the thought of Quavers!

There are some midwestern snacks that are better left alone..  but my poor partner is going to have to receive a bag of Corn Nuts...  just to say she tried them hehe Smiley
