Am I a llama?!?

(moved this over from occasions and holidays, hope that's okay)

My sister has wanted a Gir costume for my niece since before the kid was born. This year was her first year trick or treating, and I had a little too much time on my hands, so I decided to grant my sisters wish. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out, especially since I don't have a whole lot of sewing experience (curtains and pillows mainly). The hood wouldn't stay on quite right, but I just walked behind her and held it up to keep her from toppling over anyway.

Side note: She had the BEST time. She's only 14 months old and she was a little sick and very grumpy all day yesterday. We weren't expecting her to last very long, but once we started letting her grab the candy herself her mood completely changed. She was laughing and yelling and trying to run ahead of the group to the next house.

Body and hood are made out of fleece.
Eyes are made out of halfed Styrofoam balls, covered in white jersey with a felt pupil glued on.
Tongue is made out of felt and black wire - started to fall apart halfway through the night  Cry
Ears and nose are made out of felt.

If I had to do it again, I'd make the hood a little tighter, I'd add a tail and I would have made her a little pig trick or treat bag.

That is so awesome!  I debated making my daughter Gir, but she doesn't give me enough time to make anything that complicated!  You did great!

Thanks gusy! I'm really bad at seeing things through and I tend to take on projects that are beyond my skill level, so I was pleasantly surprised by how well this turned out.

Pig treat bag! Brilliant, thank you! My lil girl's going to be GIR this year. I'm going to crochet her a hat with face, get a green shirt and embroider a zipper on it, and have a friend make her a black and green tutu (ok - so that part is a little interpretive, but hey, tutus are fun lol) :]
