I finished up a scarf from handspun Icelandic hoggot fleece.  I ran short  of yarn!!!  So I doubled up a multi-colored burgandy, blues and sparkles.  It really added a great punch to the scarf.

Trimmed up the Pepper Zest soap.

Hope your shoulder is feeling better tonight.

Have any of you fiber and felting masters ever made felted shoes/slippers? I've seen some on etsy kind of like these:

Hubby and I are living with only space heaters this winter, and I know that something like these would keep me really warm, plus they look easy to slip on and off. My dad made me a pair of boots like this, and I love them, they're just not easy to slip off.

I haven't felted any slippers, but I did knit up some clogs three years ago that were knit with handspun Icelandic wool that I then fulled to fit me.  Wonderfully warm!  It hasn't been quite cold enough yet to pull them out of the closet for the winter, but when I do, it's all I wear while I'm inside.

They do stretch out a bit after wearing them for a while, but it's easy enough to throw them in the washing machine and full them back down again.

Pre-fulling size (compared to slippers I was wearing at the time, and my foot)

I am in such a crafting rut! I can't seem to make anything! I'm pretty down about it.  Undecided

So if anyone is interested in custom paper crafts, I have a deal for you!

One custom 4x4 or smaller paper crafted item for 0.25 pts
One custom small shrine for 0.5 pts
some other custom item for 0.25 to 1 pt

I'd be happy for any themes, inspiration to get me started!

Anyone interested in something like this? I admit I probably need this more than you, but I'm prepared to use puppy dog eyes!  Wink

Sadly, I have no points.  Embarrassed But I think you're pricing your offerings too low! You've got great things and always make good stuff.

MLF- those slippers are great.  Smiley

Well, I iced my shoulder, and felt better. Since I've had a bee in my bonnet about my dirty carpet, I went ahead and steam cleaned it anyway. I tried to do most of the work with my left arm, so it took longer, but it's done. We have oatmeal colored carpet that shows everything. The carpet came with our house. It is not a good color choice for a family with 3 boys. I will be feeling it as soon as I try to get out of bed in the morning, but I am sooo glad my carpet isn't cringe-worthy anymore.

Now that I've gotten that big job out of the way, I can craft without guilt.  Cheesy I have to finish a weaving for Justin, and then I'll start making some more ornaments.

i've wet felted a few pairs of slippers and they were definintely nice and snuggly. i did it using styrofoam resists. the only thing i'd change in future is to get some of those rubber soles you can attach to the bottom cause they are a bit slippery to wear on wood or laminate floors.
