Hi all,
I did a project on S&M for a women's Studies class, so I decided to make a whip as part of the presentation. i don't know how to work leather, so i crocheted one

Hope you all like it Kiss

EDIT: found out the pic wasn't up anymore so I just fixed it.

Sure go ahead and copy it! it'S a fun project, and my teachers liked it =)
For the handle I used a highlighter that was lying around and crocheted in the round around it (Try saying that 3 times fast!)
The I crocheted 27 chains, and braided 3 at a time to make a nine braids, then I just attached them.
I heard there'sa  book called kinky crafts which I sooooo want, but it's out of print and being sold for a small fortune, maybe I'll have to write my own

Wow!  How cool is that?  Both the whip and the "Kinky Crafts" reprint.

Great whip.

Hmmm...if I crochet one in white, would that be called "Cool Whip"?

Haha! I love it! As a former women's studies student I appreciate the irony of it and I'm sure your teachers did too! Great job!

a few years ago I did some kinky crafting as well. This is a crocheted gag (to be used like this) made out of some fuzzy spring green yarn, it has a working crocheted closure too:

never used it though (-:

I love the crocheted gag idea! And I'm totally psyched about kinky crafts being reprinted, that is so awesome! I recently met a carpenter/leatherworker who specializs in BDSM equipment and he's going to teach me, I can'T wait!
