I am making hand painted bird ornaments for my tree.  This is my first one, a cute little wren.  She is made of muslin and painted with acrylic paints.

Oh, so we post right here? Sorry! I created a new thread! Okay, here is my entry cut and pasted:

I'm hoping I'm posting this right for the misc. board challenge...
I'm also hoping that this fits the misc. board criteria. They aren't really dolls or toys and if anyone plays with them I'll cry because they took quite a while to get right.
Anyway, I have lectured my camera about the quality of pictures it took so hopefully it will behave from now on. But, in the meantime, these are the best I could make it do:

They are much less fuzzy in real life. I wanted some good close-up pics, but, alas, it is not to be

They are made out of floral wire and floral tape, wooden beads, small bits of material, embroidery thread, sewing thread, and glue. The animals and stable came from the store

I love making these. Baby Jesus was the hardest to figure out, but the easiest to make once I decided what to do. Joseph was a bit hard to figure out as well. The material used and the style of head covering helped him look more manly. The staff also helped define his role

Thanks for looking!
